Evelyn Browne, the CEO of Big Changes Start Small Inc., the parent organization of the Hope Soap toiletry drive, gives a midmorning pep talk and packing instructions to volunteers helping sort donations at the Golden Harvest Food Bank warehouse. The "We Send Hope" drive collected 10,000 pounds of toiletries and personal care items that volunteers sorted and loaded onto pallets for transport to a relief distribution center near Jackson, Miss. Hope Soap is a year-round drive and sister mission to the It's Spooky to Be Hungry food drive. The agency geared up for a special collection after Hurricane Katrina hit.
