Casting blame after Katrina should end; we should 'just help people'

I am totally disgusted by the federal government's recent actions toward the people in Louisiana and Mississippi. But at the same time I am upset with the fact that there are people out there who are just bashing the president, blaming him for the hurricane instead of rallying behind the citizens of these disaster areas.

I believe that our president is a faith-driven man, and I doubt he called up Jesus and ordered a hurricane. It is absurd that we can't come together and help these people who are just like us without trying to put blame on certain groups.

Jesse Jackson wants to blame the Republicans because of the blacks that are being affected; what about the whites being affected? I don't think that they are getting special treatment.

As a black American, I think it is time to stop all the profiling and just help people; that is what God had in mind. What is it going to take to get this country united?
