Tennis tourney

The 2005 Banana Open Tennis Tournament will be held Sept. 8-11 at Petersburg Racquet Club in Martinez, with divisions for men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed. Winners from each division will qualify for the Banana Open Challenge in Hilton Head Island, S.C., on Oct. 7-9.

The Ladies Golf Association at Jones Creek will hold its annual Tee Off meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at Jones Creek Clubhouse. LGA is open to golfers of all skill levels.
