Harlem's Women in Business will hold its inaugural evening tea and fashion show at 7 p.m. Monday at the Harlem United Methodist Church fellowship hall. Tickets cost $5. Call Kathy at 556-0401.
Evans reunion
The Evans High School Class of 1985 will celebrate its 20th reunion on Sept. 17 at the Belair Conference Center. Other activities are planned throughout the weekend. Members of the class who have not received an invitation should call Kelley Cross Sleeper at 860-6151.
Red Cross training
- The Augusta Red Cross is seeking volunteer instructors to teach baby sitter classes to ages 11 to 15. An instructor training class will be held at 6 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Abilene Baptist Church in Martinez.
- Volunteer instructors are needed to teach CPR, AED and first aid. An instructor training class will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Sept. 6-9. For information, call the Red Cross office at 724-8481, ext. 208.
College open house
The Augusta Tech-Thomson McDuffie Campus will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Faculty, counselors, and staff from Paine College, Augusta State University, Brenau University, Limestone College, Southern Wesleyan University and Southern Illinois University will be available.

Boot collections
Martinez Columbia Fire-Rescue personnel will be collecting donations today through Labor Day at area retail locations for the Muscular Dystrophy Association's annual Labor Day Telethon. Donations for the "Fill the Boot" campaign also can be dropped off at fire headquarters, 3910 Desoto Drive off Old Evans Road in Martinez.
