The Columbia County News-Times staff has put together our own "Super Nine," profiling what we see as the nine best prospects in the county.

Schools - Louisville, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Virginia Tech

Drayton is a dynamic player who makes the crowd stand every time he touches the ball. He also is a play-making safety.

Paul Miller

DL/OL - Lakeside - Sr.

6-2, 195

Schools - Army, Navy, Georgia Southern

Miller has a motor that doesn't stop. He makes plays all over the field and leads a strong Panther defense.

QB - Greenbrier - Sr.

6-0, 195

Schools - Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville, West Georgia, Newberry, Charleston Southern, Presbyterian

Gray is the best drop-back passer in the county. Greenbrier struggled when Gray missed games with a knee injury and should benefit greatly from having him back at 100 percent.

LB/RB - Augusta Christian - Sr.

Schools - Open

Quick finished second for ACS with 540 yards rushing, but was also one of the top tacklers in the county.

LB - Evans - Sr.

5-10, 220

Schools - Georgia Southern

Ketchup is the most experienced linebacker on the team. He is built solid and is one of the defensive leaders of the team.

Reggie Rice

RB/LB - Greenbrier - Sr.

6-1, 195

Schools - Open

Rice is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who makes plays with his speed. He will also be the featured back for Greenbrier this year.

QB - Augusta Christian - Sr.

5-8, 165

Schools - Georgia Tech, Air Force, Western Carolina

Banks is the only returning county quarterback to have started every game last year. He is a multitalented quarterback, leading all returning players in yards passing and yards rushing.

Schools - Open

Smith is built like a brick wall. The linebacker loves contact and looks for cornerbacks to run over when he playing fullback.

Schools - Louisville, Auburn, Southern Miss

Dorsey is Harlem's best college prospect since Tim Camp (Air Force). Coach Jimmie Lewis has been talking about his play-making ability since Dorsey's sophomore season.
