Junior Dixie Boys go to World Series

The 2005 Columbia County All-Stars (13-year-old) Junior Dixie Boys won the Georgia State Championship on July 20 and will travel to Muscle Shoals, Ala., for the 2005 Dixie World Series. The World Series runs from Thursday through Aug. 11. The team is: Joshua (Luggy) Bennett (first row, from left), Cameron Logan, Clayton Miller, Derek Beasley, Jeff McGowan, Zach Hayden, and Adam Fortenberry; coach Doug Ansley (second row), Kody Belcher, Jackson Posey, Michael Brantley, Manager Lenn Brantley, Joseph Boatright, Evan Ansley, Chad Farmer and coach Randal Crook.
