Newspaper showed 'courage' on issue of accused substitute teacher

The News-Times editorial July 20, "Cops have next step in school case," is a documentary expression of this infrequently manifested virtue: Courage.

As a resident, a taxpayer, a retired teacher and a grandparent of students in the schools of Columbia County, I commend The News-Times' courage in confronting our "mandated reporting" issue head-on.
