One local gym had a gold rush at the Amateur Athletic Union National Gymnastics Competition in Orlando, Fla.

Gymnastics Gold, of Martinez, sent 25 members to the AAU championships in June and won four individual all-around gold medals.
"We are real proud of our gym," said Dillon Smith, who won first place in the Level 7 competition for the 16-and-up age group. "We are all one big team, and we cheer each other on during the competitions. We want to do well as a team."
Other individual champions were Anna Beth Garner, 14-year-olds Level 3; Megan Logeais, 8-year-olds Level 4; and Josh Jarriel, 16-and-up Level 6.
Gymnastics Gold also had top 10 individual all-around finishes from Lisa Calhoun, Caitlin Cole, Derek Dewosky, Taylor Dewosky, Britney Gross, Nadyiah Hill, Morgan Hobbs, Keith Johnson, Alex Mazur and Katelyn Morgan.
