Gov. Sonny Perdue to visit local GOP

Gov. Sonny Perdue will be the guest speaker at the Republican Party breakfast at 9 a.m. July 30 at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Tickets cost $25. Phinizy Swamp discovery series

Retirement planning seminar

A dinner seminar on Retirement Planning and Will and Trust Planning will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Partridge Inn, 2110 Walton Way in Augusta. Red Cross to hold baby sitter training

The Augusta Red Cross will hold a baby sitters training class from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the office, 1322 Ellis Street. Participants must be 11-15 years of age.

The cost is $25. Training sessions for adult, infant, child and professional rescuer CPR, First Aid and Safety will be held through July 27. For the time and cost of each training session, call 724-8481.

Jump for Autism

The Walk for Autism-Augusta and Jumping Party Zone U.S.A. at 4495 Columbia Road, Suite 3 in Columbia Town Center will hold a Jump for Autism from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The cost is $5 per child.
