Swamp hike

The Phinizy Swamp Nature Park staff will hold a family hike through the Nature Park at 7 p.m. July 26. The cost is $3 for members and $5 for nonmembers. To register by July 22, call 828-2109.

Library meeting

The Friends of Columbia County Libraries will hold its summer quarter business meeting 7 p.m. July 26 in the annex of the Gibbs Memorial Library at 326 N. Belair Road in Evans. The library will also have a book sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 30. For information, call 863-6989.

Call for artists

Main Street Augusta is holding a contest to determine designs for three banners to decorate downtown Augusta. Interested artists can submit a design to the Greater Augusta Arts Council Offices in Sacred Heart Cultural Center by July 22. Water blast

Mosaic United Methodist Church will hold a Water Blast from 5 to 9 p.m. July 28 at the church office at 476 Columbia Industrial Blvd. in Evans. The event will feature a water slide and wacky water games. The event is open to children ages 5 to 10. For information, call 650-9187.

Photo workshop
