Church celebration

A Star-Spangled Fourth celebration will be held at St. Paul's Church on Riverwalk Augusta at 8 p.m. Monday. Tickets are free for children under 12, $8 for students 12 and up, $10 for adults, and $50 patrons to receive two tickets, parking, seating and their name in the program. Church anniversary

Gospel Water Branch Baptist Church in Evans will celebrate its 125th anniversary with the following activities: Prayer and Praise Service and Health Walk from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday; Senior Citizen Banquet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday; Church Picnic at Wildwood Park, section D from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; 125th Church Anniversary Program 1:30 p.m. July 10; and youth revival 7 p.m. July 25-27. Bible Boot Camp

The Protestant Women of the Chapel at Fort Gordon will hold a Bible Boot Camp, a Bible study about fruits of the spirit, from 9-11 a.m. starting Wednesday at Bicentennial Chapel. Barbecue fundraiser

Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3185 Wheeler Road, will hold a pork barbecue, beginning 11 a.m. July 16 to raise funds for a mission trip to Nicaragua. For information, call 733-4416.

Church training

Financial Peace University classes will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Aug. 10 at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 5555 Hereford Farm Road in Evans. The cost is $99. For information, call 564-1052.

Summer program

The Mother's Day Out Summer Program at West Acres Baptist Church has openings for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. The program is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are also additional openings for the fall program. For information, call Helen at 863-2542.
