Disc golfers welcomed to area

Hoeniger (right) demonstrates the mechanics of a disc golf putt to Beale during the welcoming reception. The event was held June 14 by the Greater Augusta Sports Council at Savannah Rapids Pavilion. The disc golf association recently moved its global headquarters to the National Disc Golf Training Center at Wildwood Park. Construction starts soon on the site's three courses.
