Church training

Call for artists
Main Street Augusta is holding a contest to determine designs for three banners to decorate downtown Augusta. Summer program
The Mother's Day Out Summer Program at West Acres Baptist Church has openings for children ages 18 months to 5 years old. There are also additional openings for the fall program. For information, call Helen at 863-2542.
Apprenticeships
The CSRA Regional Educational Services Agency is seeking students at least 16 years old to participate in the Youth Apprenticeship Program, which currently serves Burke, Columbia, Lincoln, Glascock, Jenkins and Warren counties. Harlem Kids Club

Basketball game
The 12th annual Jawbones vs. Sawbones (Lawers vs. Doctors) basketball game will be held at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 at Greenbrier High School Gymnasium.
