At the end of her 30-second time frame, Briana managed to strategically stack 18 cookies before they could topple over.

"I think it was fun," she said about the Oreo Star Stacker contest, which was held at area Wal-Marts on Saturday. She said the contest was easy because it was the second time she competed in it.

Miriam Carrow, an independent demonstrator for the Sunflower Group who administrated the contest, said the contest was to serve as a fun summertime event for children age 7 to 14.

"It's a national contest that is held annually," she said.

Catherine Smith, 8, of Augusta, also participated in the contest, stacking 10 cookies.

"I stacked all of them up. One stack fell down, so I tried it again," she said. Carrow said about 100 children participated in the contest.

In the end, Justin Shields, 13, won the contest by stacking 20 cookies. He will receive a medallion as his prize.
