Theater camp

The Augusta Players Summer Theater Camp for children ages 6-18 will be held Monday through Friday at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 2367 Washington Road, Augusta. Call 826-4707.

Chamber events

The city of Harlem and Regions Bank will hold a SuCCess Columbia County Style networking event at 5 p.m. July 11 at 225 N. Louisville St. in Harlem. The networking event is free for chamber members and $10 for nonmembers. To make reservations by July 8 or get information, call 651-0018.

Church training

Financial Peace University is a tool that supports church ministries, pastors and elders by equipping them with a biblically based accountability class that will teach and train their congregation to manage their resources in a godly manner. An orientation will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 5555 Hereford Farm Road in Evans. The cost is $99. Classes will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning Aug. 10. Call 564-1052.

Bingo night

Bingo will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Harlem Woman's Club at U.S. Highway 78. All proceeds will benefit the Columbia County transition center in Harlem. Concessions and prizes will be provided. For information, call 556-0043.

Lifeguard training

Beginning Tuesday through July 1, at the Petersburg Station pool at 421 The Pass in Martinez, the Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer a lifeguard class. The cost is $115 for each class. Students must be 15 years old and pass the swimming pre-test. For information, call 724-8481.

Camp meeting

Summer camp meeting services at Whiteoak United Methodist Campground will be held today through June 26. Dr. Wallace Wheeles of Kennesaw UMC will preach at the 8 p.m. daily services. The Rev. Sonny Sellers of Lewis Memorial UMC will lead the singing, and the Rev. Pierce Norman will lead a Bible study each weekday at 11 a.m. Whiteoak is off Wrightsboro Road at Whiteoak Road.
