Church talent show
The Catholic Idol pasta dinner and talent show will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church gym. It will be the last event held in the gym before the church moves to Columbia County, and it will include a slide presentation of past activities in the facility. The Shiloh Compre-hensive Community Center, 1635 15th St. in Augusta, will hold an Intergenerational and Tutorial summer day camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through July 15. Children ages 7 to 12 can attend. Call Ruth B. Crawford or Sherrie Hill at 738-0089.
The Augusta chapter of the American Red Cross will offer lifeguard classes today through June 17 at the National Hills Pool, 1107 Brookwood in Augusta. An additional class will be offered June 21-July 1 at the Petersburg Station pool at 421 The Pass in Martinez. The cost is $115 for each class.
