Church talent show

The Catholic Idol pasta dinner and talent show will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church gym. It will be the last event held in the gym before the church moves to Columbia County, and it will include a slide presentation of past activities in the facility. Summer program

The Mother's Day Out Summer Program at West Acres Baptist Church still has openings for children ages 18 months to 5 years. The program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. There are also additional openings for the fall program. For information, call Helen at 863-2542.

Aerobics class

A free aerobics class will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday for the month of July at Patriots Park Gymnasium. For information, call Sally Selemi at 294-0115 or 724-2481.

Harlem Kids Club

The Laurel and Hardy Museum Kids Club in Harlem will be held from 2-5 p.m. each Monday, with crafts, games, snacks and fun. For information, call 556-0401.

Summer camp

The Shiloh Compre-hensive Community Center, 1635 15th St. in Augusta, will hold an Intergenerational and Tutorial summer day camp from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through July 15. Children ages 7 to 12 can attend. Call Ruth B. Crawford or Sherrie Hill at 738-0089.

Lifeguard training

The Augusta chapter of the American Red Cross will offer lifeguard classes today through June 17 at the National Hills Pool, 1107 Brookwood in Augusta. An additional class will be offered June 21-July 1 at the Petersburg Station pool at 421 The Pass in Martinez. The cost is $115 for each class. Students must be 15 years old and be able to pass the swimming test. For information, call 724-8481.
