Memorial service
Bellevue Memorial Gardens will hold its annual Memorial Day service at 10 a.m. Monday. Guest speaker will be Grovetown Mayor Dennis Trudeau. Paul Roberts and Co. will perform a musical salute to all services. Guest performers include the Byrd Family, Cheryl Pickard and Paula Kirchhofer. Refreshments will be provided. Choral performance
The Columbia County Choral Society will present Messiah, Moses and More at 7:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Evans, Washington at Belair roads. The final performance of the season will feature music from Handel's Messiah, works by Moses Hogan and a selection of bluegrass spirituals, and will be dedicated to director emeritus Jacques Kearns, in whose honor the society is developing a scholarship. Harlem Kids Club
The Laurel and Hardy Museum Kids Club in Harlem will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. each Monday beginning June 6, with crafts, games, snacks and fun. Call 556-0401.
Arts awards
Columbia County Arts Inc. will present its Arts Recognition Awards in June. The public is invited to nominate candidates for the Individual Artist award to a living Columbia County artist. Nomination forms will be available at www.columbiacountyarts.org or by calling 650-2527.

Lifeguard training
The Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering lifeguard classes. Students must be at least 15 years old and able to pass the swimming pre-test. For dates and registration information, call 724-8481.
