Scouts get taste of seafaring life

Sixty-nine members from Cub Pack 56 of Stevens Creek Elementary School recently spent a night aboard the USS Yorktown (CV-10) in Charleston, S.C. The boys learned of the Yorktown's and many other ships' roles during World War II and other missions during a tour of the onboard museum. They slept in the crew's bunks and ate in the chief petty officers' galley, but didn't have to swab any decks.
