Decorative license plates with Columbia County's new sailboat logo will be on sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday outside Wal-Mart in Evans. Members of Columbia County Arts Inc. will be selling the plates for $5, with proceeds going toward the grand opening of the county's new main library and performing arts center. Girl Scout camp

The Girl Scouts' Central Savannah River Council offers summer camp for all girls ages 5 through 17. Overnight sessions offer horseback riding, swimming, crafts, sports and more.

Lakeside raffle

Tickets are still available for the Lakeside Panther Athletic Association raffle. Each ticket costs $100 and entitles the owner to attend the school's Vegas Night Steak Dinner on Saturday at Lakeside High School where a drawing will be held for a prize of $10,000.

Book scholarship

Saturday is the deadline for book scholarship applications from the CSRA-Augusta Alumni chapter of Tuskegee University for local high school students planning on attending Tuskegee University in the fall.
