Greenbrier High School, along with 13 other schools in Georgia, was the focus of the first Capitol Tech, held at the State Capitol building in Atlanta. This event was held to demonstrate to Georgia's legislators the positive impact that technology funding is having on instruction in the state's public schools. Georgia Tech honor
Toni Cliett, of Grovetown, has been awarded faculty honors at the Georgia Institute of Technology after achieving a 4.0 grade point average at the college. Cliett, a 2004 graduate of Harlem High School, is the daughter of James and Linda Cliett, of Grovetown.
Argosy University grad
Janet Lenard, of Evans, has graduated with a doctor of education degree in counseling psychology from Argosy University/Sarasota during the fall semester.
Citadel Dean's List
Cadet Michael Anthony Rivera, of Evans, has been named to the Dean's List at The Citadel for the fall semester. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Enrique Rivera.
Scholarship awarded
Clay Tuggle, of Martinez, has been awarded a 2004-05 scholarship from the CSRA chapter of the Professional Construction Estimators Association. Tuggle is attending North Georgia College and State University majoring in engineering. He is a 2004 graduate of Lakeside High School.
Vanderbilt Dean's List
Jennifer Lynn Schwartz, of Martinez, has been named to the Dean's List at Vanderbilt University for the fall semester. She is the daugther of Dr. and Mrs. Paul B. Schwartz.

Gregory A. Ryan, of Evans, has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Georgia Southwestern State University; Tameka E. Rolle, of Evans has been named to the college's academic achievement list and graduated from the college in the fall.

Georgia Tech faculty honors
Ellica Moore, a 2004 graduate of Greenbrier High School and resident of Evans, has been named to the faculty honors list for the fall semester at Georgia Institute of Technology. Moore is a first-year biomedical engineering major at Georgia Tech with a 4.0 academic average. She also was selected for membership in Georgia Tech's chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Paul Green, of Martinez, has been named to the dean's list at Libert University for the fall semester.
Honors list

Kathy Gaskin, daughter of Alva and Debbie Gaskin of Evans, was recently named to the dean's list at Winthrop University. The 2003 Greenbrier High School honor graduate is a junior majoring in psychology and is currently spending her spring semester studying abroad in Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia.
National dean's list
Rania Lauree Williams has received recognition on the national dean's list for the fall semester. Williams' parents are Dr. and Mrs. Robert L. Williams, of Grovetown.
Intern selection
Brian Cornell Bratton, a December graduate from Furman University, has been selected to an internship with the commissioner's staff of the Southern Conference, an NCAA Division I Athletic Conference in Spartanburg, S.c. Bratton is a graduate of Lakeside High School.

D.J. Williams, Sarah Allen, April Hardy and Denise Long, all senior designer of D.J. & Co. Spa & Gifts Inc., recently upgraded their skills, attending The Redken Exchange Club 5th Avenue in New York City. The businesswomen learned advanced techniques in hair design and hair color.
Teacher honored
Christy D. Presgrove, a faculty member of Greenbrier High School, has been named by the Georgia Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese as its outstanding Spanish teacher for 2005. Presgrove is a resident of Grovetown.
