Just like the cost of gas these days, a new sign will be going up soon for several Columbia County gas stations.
Circle K is buying out all of the Pump 'N Shops in Columbia County, including this one at Furys Ferry and North Belair roads. The county commission has given Circle K the OK for an alcohol license so it will be able to sell beer and wine at the locations.

On March 23, a Circle K official confirmed his company is buying out all five of Columbia County's Pump 'N Shop locations: two on Furys Ferry Road, one on Baston Road, one on Washington Road and one on Columbia Road.
Larry James White, a lawyer and Circle K vice president for Georgia, said the changeover in name should take place by Friday.
"Just looking at the size of the county and the development of the county, this is what we consider an appropriate fit for our business," he said.
On Wednesday, Columbia County commissioners gave Circle K the go-ahead for an alcohol application for the former Pump 'N Shop stores to allow Circle K to sell beer and wine under the Circle K name when they open.
White said the newest acquisition brings the number of Circle K stores in the Augusta area to 20.
He said the company has about 120 stores statewide.
