Bible Fellowship Church will hold an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Goodale Park on Wrightsboro Road in Grovetown, with prizes, refreshments and a bluegrass gospel program. For information, call 651-1971.
Wesley United Methodist Church will hold an Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday on Doctors Hospital field in Evans.
Bible Cathedral, located at 1116 Furys Ferry Road in Evans, will hold an Easter sunrise service at 7 a.m. Sunday, followed by a continental breakfast and regular services.
Old Union Baptist Church will hold its Easter service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Harlem High School, 1070 Appling-Harlem Highway. For additional service times and information, call 556-9055.
Free tomato class
The Columbia County High School Agriculture Department is sponsoring a free tomato-growing class at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The class will cover a variety of topics, including planting methods, insects, diseases and more. For information, call 863-1198, ext. 250, or 556-5980, ext. 236.
Good Friday closings
All of the Columbia County tax commissioner's offices in Evans and Appling will be closed Friday.
Augusta Public Transit, Richmond Transit and the ADA Paratransit system will all be closed Friday. Regular services will resume Saturday.
Benefit concert
The fifth annual benefit concert in support of the Jenny Clark Memorial scholarship fund will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the Imperial Theatre on Broad Street in Augusta.
