Girl Scouts serve

Lynda Bartlett of Martinez registers her daughter Abby Bartlett, 11, for Girl Scout summer camp at Camp Tanglewood. The Girl Scout, Central Savannah River Council held an open house for summer camp Saturday, which marked the group's 93rd anniversary of Girl Scouting in America.

The Lakeside Service Unit Girl Scouts held a pet products collection drive at SuperPetz on Bobby Jones Expressway Jan. 17. Senior Troop 80 organized the event and Troops 144, 151, 161, 167, 182 and 268 participated in this event which was part of LSU's Random Acts of Kindness service project. Enough pet products were collected to fill the trunk and the back seat (all the way to the ceiling) of a Saturn vehicle. These products were divided between CSRA Humane Society and Columbia County Humane Society.
