Fort information

Military retirees and citizens in the Augusta area interested in Fort Gordon are invited to the monthly community information briefing at 11:30 a.m. today at the Gordon Club on 19th Street. The meeting will provide information on community events and projects.Call 791-3639.

Special ed meeting

The Columbia County Advocates for Special Education PTO is sponsoring a transition meeting at Evans High School at 6 p.m. Thursday. Representatives from local agencies will give an overview of their programs. Call Donna at 855-0724 or Rose Mary at 860-9222.

IAAP meeting

The International Association of Administra-tive Professionals Evans Towne Center Chapter will hold its monthly meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Evans Government Center Auditorium, 630 Ronald Reagan Drive. New school supper

The PTO Executive Board of Columbia County's new elementary school will hold a spaghetti supper at Riverside Elementary School from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. This is a time for pupils, parents and teachers to meet those who will attend the new school, which opens in August. Tickets cost $15 per family. Call Diane Chiera at 855-1966.

Time Out luncheon

First Baptist Church of Evans, located at Washington and North Belair roads, will hold its Time Out Luncheon from 11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. Thursday in the fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church of Evans. The cost is $5. For information, write fbcevans@knology.net or call 863-1228.
