Baker Edwards Hatcher has been named to the fall 2004 dean's list at the University of North Carolina at Chapil Hill. Hatcher is the son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Hatcher, of Martinez.

Ashley Brooke Ringel has been named to the Dean's List at Young Harris College for the fall semester. Ringel is the daughter of David and Deborah Ringel, of Cumming. Her grandmother is Betty Ringel, of Evans.
