New industrial park

The Committee of 100, a division of the Greater Augusta Chamber of Commerce, and Head Properties Group of Atlanta, announced recently the beginning of construction of Park Twenty West, Augusta's first environmentally planned, fully-equipped industrial park.

The 108-acre development is located at the Interstate 20-Belair Road interchange.

According to David Head, developer of and a principal in the Park Twenty West project, phase one should be finished in June.

"Initial site work, including construction of a 50,000-square-foot warehouse-office building, is already under way, and phase one should be completed by June," Head said.
