Columnist's picks for preseason All-County Baseball Team at issue

Editor:

Ashley Brown ought to be ashamed of his preseason All-County Baseball outfield (Feb. 27). Scott Wandless and Brad Ramsbotham were no-doubters, but to pick a pitcher that has to play outfield as the third is absurd. A junior who hits .326, or .329, is OK I guess. I don't know the exact average since both were posted.

There are only four (public) high schools to keep up with in the county, but at least keep up with all of them. Looking through the averages at the end of the regular season last year I saw a sophomore hitting .362 for Evans.

Hey, Ashley, next time you head to Greenbrier, take a left onto Belair Road, and go to Cox Road and turn right. You can't miss the field on the left. We have lights and everything.
