Special needs events

 •  The Georgia Division of Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children will sponsor a parent workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gibbs Library.

Parents with young children with special learning needs are invited to participate in this special event.

Admission is free, but participants must sign up in advance at the library.

 •  From 1 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Gibbs Library will have program and resource information about young children with special needs.

 •  From 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, young children with special needs and their families are invited to Gibbs Library for pajama night.

Grovetown festival

Applications are being accepted for vendor spaces for the Grovetown Heritage Festival on Saturday, April 30. For information, call 863-1867.

Ramps closed

The public boat ramps at Columbia County's Wildwood Park will be closed today for the CITGO Bassmaster Tour.

Wildwood Park will be open to spectators wishing to view the tournament. A $2 gate fee is required.
