Congratulations to Greenbrier girls

It's hard to beat those Greenbrier girls.

As Columbia County's newest high school, Greenbrier often earns coverage for milestones the county's other schools reached long ago. But rarely, if ever, have any of them hit the athletic mark Greenbrier's softball and girls' basketball teams reached this season.

The Lady Wolfpack outclassed all comers to win the state softball title at the end of 2004. Then, just a few weeks later, the girls basketball team set new records for wins in the county while going deeper in state tournament play than any previous team.

"We are very proud of our student athletes!" says Greenbrier Principal Sandra Carraway. "These students excel on the field and court and in the classroom, helping to make GHS the best. The entire Greenbrier community applauds these students and look forward to even greater success down the road!"
