Special needs events

The Georgia Division of Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children will sponsor a parent workshop from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Monday at Gibbs Library. Parents with young children with special learning needs are invited to participate in this special event. Admission is free, but participants must sign up in advance at the library.

From 1 to 5 p.m. March 9, Gibbs Library will have program and resource information about young children with special needs.

From 6 to 7 p.m. March 11, young children with special needs and their families are invited to Gibbs Library for pajama night. For more information, visit www.gacec.org.

Gardening at lunch

Digital film classes

Women's history month

Alumni meeting

The alumni of Blanchard High School will meet at 4 p.m. March 12 at the Rosemont Association on Burks Mountain Road in Appling to select a name and establish guidelines for awarding a scholarship that was created by members of the classes of 1961 and 1962. Auto auction

The Salvation Army will hold its auto auction at 10 a.m. March 12 at the Salvation Army shelter, 1384 Greene Street. Pre-registration will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 9-11.
