Iraq discussed

Bobby Christine, a Columbia County associate magistrate and captain in the Georgia National Guard, will discuss his service in Iraq at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the monthly meeting of the Greater Columbia County Republican Women at the King Buffet (formerly Damon's) on Washington Road in Augusta.

Hunting permits

Applications for the annual public access drawing to Fort Gordon for hunting and fishing permits must be submitted before March 15. No more than three applicants per letter will be accepted. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid Georgia Hunter Safety Card. Call 791-2397.

Clemson concert

The Clemson University Men's Glee Club and Takenote, the Clemson women's a cappella ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at North Augusta High School auditorium. Ramps closed

The public boat ramps at Columbia County's Wildwood Park will be closed Thursday through Sunday for the CITGO Bassmaster Tour. Wildwood Park will be open to spectators wishing to view the tournament.
