Officials meet

Augusta-area baseball officials meet at 4 p.m. each Sunday at Westside High School until the start of baseball season in March. For information, call Jim at 495-2883.

Basketball tryouts

The Georgia Sting girls AAU basketball organization will hold tryouts for girls ages 11 to 13 born between 1991 and 1993 on Saturday and March 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. Tryouts for girls ages 14-17 born between 1987 and 1990 will be from 9 a.m. to noon the same days. Call Billy Jackson at 863-8783.

Kickboxing for charity

Augusta Martial Arts Academy will hold full-contact kickboxing bouts Saturday at Fort Gordon Gym 3. Tickets cost $15, and part of the proceeds will benefit Fisher House. Call 855-5269 for information.

Tennis lessons

Spring registration

The Columbia County Recreation Department is holding baseball and softball registration through Saturday at the Patriots Park Administrative Office, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Call 863-7523.

Lacrosse clinics

The Columbia County Lacrosse Club will hold lacrosse clinics Saturday and Monday for the upcoming spring season. The clinics, for boys and girls ages 10 to 18, are held on the Doctors Hospital field behind Kroger from 10 a.m. to noon. All equipment will be provided. Call 733-4271 or 854-1908.
