Writers meeting

CSRA Writers will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday at Barnes &Noble Booksellers, 1336 Augusta West Parkway. Writers needing a support group are invited to attend and bring eight copies of a manuscript to be critiqued. Call 738-4114.

Hiking trail project

Teens in Augusta are asking for help building a hiking trail at Camp Y. The project will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Family Y Camp at Thurmond Lake. Participants must be ages 12 and older. For information, call Stephanie Gunder at 210-8562.

SHHH meeting

The Augusta chapter of SHHH, a self-help group for people with hearing loss, will hold its monthly meeting 5:30 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 3500 Walton Way in the Adult Building Room 10. Parkinson support

Hunting, fishing permits

Applications for the annual public access drawing for Fort Gordon hunting and fishing permits must be submitted between March 1-15. Applications received before March 1 will be considered ineligible. No more than three applicants per letter will be accepted. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and possess a valid Georgia Hunter Safety Card. Call 791-2397.
