Founders' Day
The Evans PTA held a Founders' Day program during its regular monthly meeting.
Program Chairwoman Mrs. R.A. Templeton presented the program commemorating the founders of the national PTA. Evans PTA President Mrs. Sam Baston spoke of the progress the Evans PTA has made since it was chartered in 1952.
It was announced that the new school would soon be ready for occupancy, and that a dedication program will be held. Mrs. Templeton moved that a committee be appointed to investigate ways and means of increasing school funds for teachers' pay and textbooks.
