Black history program

The Zack Pollard Club of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, on Washington Road in Evans, will present its Seventh Annual Black History Program at 6 p.m. today at the church. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Larry Fryer of the Mulberry C.M.E. Church in Lincolnton. Call 860-3387.

Valentine's Day ceremony

St. James United Methodist Church, 439 Greene St. in Augusta, will hold a special Valentine's Day program at 11 a.m. today for couples to reaffirm their commitment to each other. Call 722-8373.

Sweetheart bike tour

Phinizy Swamp will hold a 15-mile "Sweetheart" Bike Tour from 2-4 p.m. today. The cost is $3 for members, $5 for nonmembers and a $1 discount for couples. For information, call 828-2109.

Prophecy conference

A conference on biblical prophecy, featuring Left Behind series co-author Tim LaHaye, along with Gary Frazier and Ed Hindson, will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 19 at Abilene Baptist Church in Martinez. Lifeguard training
