Paine homecoming

Paine College will hold the following homecoming events: Conference on the Black Experience at Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel; 10:30 a.m. Friday Founders' Day Convocation at Gilbert-Lambuth Memorial Chapel; Saturday, 10 a.m. Homecoming parade, vendor's fair at Carter Gymnasium; 2 p.m., Bring the Paine Greek Step Show at Carter Gymnasium; homecoming basketball games 6 p.m. Lady Lions vs. Columbia College, 8 p.m. Lions vs. Morehouse at Christenberry Field House. Mom's day out

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church on Pleasant Home Road will hold registration for 2005-06 Mother's Day Out from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the Social Hall. There is a $50 nonreturnable fee due at registration. Classes are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday-Tuesday for children ages 12 months to 4 years. Call Nicole Durrwachter at 863-0252.

Driving training

The University of Georgia's Georgia Traffic Injury Prevention Institute will hold Georgia Teens Ride with P.R.I.D.E., a parent and teen driver course, at 7 p.m. Thursday at Old Union Baptist Church, 695 Old Union Road in Harlem. For information, call Donald Jones at 364-6238.

Artists' 'conversation'

The Morris Museum of Art will hold a conversation with the artists, featuring Curator Jay Williams, at 7 p.m. Thursday. Tickets are $2 and $3. For information, call 724-7501.

Pops at the Bell

Pops at the Bell will be held 8 p.m. Thursday at Bell Auditorium, with a jazz program by vocalist Patti Austin and trumpeter Byron Stripling celebrating Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Ticket prices are $10 to $40. For information, call 826-4705.
