'Athlete Spotlight' should shine only on school of student featured

I would really like to thank The News-Times for recognizing April Woodard in the Feb. 2 Athlete Spotlight. Harlem may not have the "powerhouse" teams the other schools in the county have, but we do have some outstanding student-athletes who deserve recognition.

The story could have been better without the opinion of the Greenbrier coach and other Greenbrier players. Why does every sports article this paper prints have to mention that school? Does this validate April's recognition because Greenbrier says it?

It just proves once again, you're not really interested in what anyone says, does or thinks except Greenbrier.

Listen up, News-Times, Harlem is not interested in what "they" think or do not think of us. So, the next time you happen to mention Harlem try to stick to the main subject.
