Inaugural program
The following Columbia County students were chosen to attend the Presidential Classroom's Presidential Inaugural Program in Washington, D.C.: Kaitlyn Frazier, of Augusta Prep High School, daughter of Kevin and Mimi Frazier; and Haley Swearingen, of Evans High School, daughter of Terry and Lauren Swearingen. During the weeklong program, the two interacted with Washington insiders, including members of Congress and presidential appointees.
They also participated in pre-inaugural events, such as the inaugural parade, PC student inaugural ball and attendance at the presidential oath of office.
Dean's List
The following two Columbia County students have been named to the Dean's List at Middle Georgia College for the spring semester: Robert Alan Kutlik, of Evans; and Melissa Layton, of Martinez.
