Jazz Mass

There will be a special celebration of Holy Communion with jazz music at 10:30 a.m. today at the Church of the Holy Comforter, which meets at Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans to Locks Road. Music of Duke Ellington and other jazz favorites will be featured, with a jazz pianist, saxophones, percussion section and flute trio under the direction of Robbie Jarrell. Motorcycle raffle

Monday is the deadline to purchase chances to win a 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster in a raffle sponsored by the American Red Cross. Tickets cost $20 for one or $50 for three, and only 1,000 will be sold. Tickets are available at the Red Cross office on Ellis Street in Augusta; at Augusta Harley-Davidson on Frontage Road; at Georgia Bank & Trust on Furys Ferry Road; or at Jim Hudson Lexus on Washington Road in Martinez.
