Dean's Lists

Jessica Stokely, of Martinez, has been named to the Dean's List at Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga., for the fall semester of the 2004-05 academic year.

She is a 2001 graduate of Evans High School and is the daughter of Ricky and Jeannette Stokely, of Martinez.

Jonathan Hutton, of Martinez, has been named to the Dean's Honor List at Houghton College for the 2004 fall semester. Hutton is a junior and is majoring in business administration.

The following Columbia County students have been named to the Dean's List at Middle Georgia College for the spring semester: Robert Alan Kutlik, of Evans; and Melissa Layton, of Martinez.

College graduates

Two Columbia County residents have recently graduated with degrees from Berry College in Rome, Ga. Ronald Richard Ogden, of Evans, graduated in December with a bachelor's degree in computer science and mathematics.

Ogden is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard R. Ogden.

Natalie Elise Wolbert, of Martinez, also graduated in December with a master's of education degree in early childhood.

Wolbert is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert A. Wolbert.

Inaugural program The following Columbia County students were chosen to attend the Presidential Classroom's Presidential Inaugural Program in Washington, D.C.: Kaitlyn Frazier, of Augusta Prep High School; Haley Swearingen, of Evans High School and daughter of Terry and Lauren Swearingen; and Christopher Baugh, of Evans. During the weeklong program, the three interacted with Washington insiders, including members of Congress and presidential appointees. They also participated in inaugural activities.
