Breakfast meeting

The Augusta-Aiken chapter of the Society of Human Resources Management will hold its monthly professional development breakfast meeting Saturday at Radisson Riverfront Hotel Augusta. Augusta opera

The Augusta Opera will hold Opera goes Opry at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Boathouse in Augusta, with Edmund's Southern Barbecue, Texas two-step and line dancing, a silent auction, prizes for best western attire and best dancing. Donations are $40 per person or $75 per couple to benefit Augusta Opera. Call 826-4710.

Educators meeting

The Columbia County Retired Educators Association will meet at 11 a.m. Jan. 25 at Ryan's on Bobby Jones Expressway. Lunch will follow the business meeting.
