MLK luncheon
Noon Tuesday is the deadline to purchase tickets for Fort Gordon's Martin Luther King Jr. luncheon, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gordon Club. Karen Freeman-Wilson, chief executive officer of the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, will be the guest speaker.

Sierra Club meets
Augusta's Sierra Club meeting at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 will feature a discussion from "Possumologist" Kathy Roe, who will bring live possums and discuss her work caring for injured wildlife. The meeting will be at the Unitarian-Universalist Church on Walton Way Extension.
