The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office:

Beer swiped

A Martinez man told police Monday that someone stole a six-pack of beer from his garage.

The man, who lives in the 3000 block of Interlachen Drive, said he noticed his beer was missing after he chased an unknown male away from his refrigerator, which is in his garage.

He said the man got into the passenger side of an undescribed vehicle, which sped off toward Pebble Beach Drive.

The estimated value of the beer is $5.

Furniture stolen

A Grovetown landlord reported several pieces of furniture missing Monday along with her former tenants.

The woman, whose rental property is in the 1000 block of Newmanton Road, said she found the residence vacant and a dining room table, refrigerator, entertainment center and chair missing when she visited it.

The woman said a couple, to whom she was renting the home, lived in it for about two weeks before Thanksgiving.

The estimated value of the furniture is $875.

Phone stolen

An Evans man told police Monday that someone stole his cell phone from his home while he was in jail.

The man, who lives in the 900 block of Cobb Road, said someone forced their way into his home and stole his cell phone.

The incident occurred sometime between 12 p.m. Dec. 15 and 12:30 p.m. Dec. 18 while the man was being held at the Columbia County Detention Center.

The estimated value of the cell phone is $125.

Home burglarized

Several DVDs and assorted food items were reported missing Monday by a Grovetown woman who told police that someone broke into her mobile home.

The woman said someone entered her home in the 6000 block of Anderson Road by unknown means and removed the items.

The incident occurred sometime between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 21 and 3:27 p.m. Monday.

The estimated value of items is $180.
