Truck tips over

Columbia County sheriff's Deputy Anthony Streetman talks with Vernon Richard Brown, 67, of Hephzibah, who was driving a tractor-trailer when it tipped over at about 4:30 p.m. Friday at Evans-to-Locks Road and Columbia Industrial Drive in Evans. Brown, a driver for Woodford Plywood, a company based in Albany, Ga., was taking a right turn onto Columbia Industrial Drive when his tractor-trailer's right rear tire hit a deep rut, which shifted the weight of his load of wood too far to the right, tipping over the entire trailer and cab. No one was injured in the accident.
