GSU graduate
Alison Green, daughter of Joe and Paula Green of Harlem, received a bachelor's degree of business administration in accounting at Georgia Southern University on Dec. 10.
College enrollment
William Robert Wilson, of Martinez, has enrolled as a member of the class of 2008 at Dartmouth College. Wilson is the son of William Wilson and Joan Wilson.
USC-A graduates
The following Columbia County residents graduated in May from the University of South Carolina Aiken: Jessica Chanel Baptiste, of Martinez; Jessica Marie Benton, of Martinez; Shannon Rae Houghton, of Martinez; Daniel Thomas Triolo, of Martinez; and Chris Charles Parker, of Appling.
USC-A Dean's List
The following Martinez residents have been named to the Dean's List at the University of South Carolina Aiken for the spring semester: Shannon R. Houghton, Jaina J. Patel, Nicholas J. Giovino, Jeffrey A. Driesen, Tracy R. Pocta, Jeffrey C. Rucker and Jeffrey A. Driesen. Jessica M. Benton, of Martinez, made the school's president's list.
USC degree
Julio E. Colon, son of Joviniano and Elvira Colon, of Evans, has been awarded a doctorate degree in English literature by the University of South Carolina.
College graduates
The following Columbia County residents graduated in August from Central Michigan University: Jacquelene S. Hamer, with a master of science in administration; and Iules Patton Jr., with a master of science in administration.
Reporting for duty
Marine Corps Cpl. Aaron M. Schupska, son of Koren M. and John R. Steele, of Evans, recently reported for duty with Marine Security Guard Detachment, American Embassy, Vienna, Austria, Washington, D.C. Schupska is a 2000 graduate of Greenbrier High School and joined the Marine Corps in June 2000.
