The following accounts were taken from reports filed with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Armed robbery

A gunman robbed a Martinez grocery store on Nov. 23.

The incident at the Winn-Dixie on Columbia Road occurred at about 7 a.m. when a man reportedly entered the business, brandished a gun and forced the store's manager into an upstairs office.

The manager said the man then demanded and was given money from a safe, according to a Columbia County Sheriff's Office incident report.

The manager gave police a videotape of the robbery, and the sheriff's office assigned an investigator to the case.

School bus shot

A Columbia County school bus driver told police someone shot her bus with a gun on Nov. 23.

The bus driver said someone apparently used a firearm to shoot the bus as she was driving home on County Line Road in Harlem on Wednesday afternoon.

Police searched the area but found no evidence.

A deputy noticed a pen-size dent on the passenger side of the bus.

Molestation charge

An Evans teenager has been arrested on a charge of child molestation.

Julian Derrick Davis-Bell, 17, of the 4000 block of Evans to Locks Road, was taken to the Columbia County Detention Center on Nov. 22.

He is accused of having sex with a 14-year-old girl in his car, sheriff's office Capt. Steve Morris said. The mother of the victim reported the incident, he said.

Davis-Bell was released on Thanksgiving Day on a $25,000 bond.
