Food service walks for nutrition
The Columbia County School Food Service Association Walk-A-Thon was held in Patriots Park on Oct. 23. Association members from 14 schools and the School Nutrition Program office participated in the annual wellness event.

The Columbia County School Food Service Association Walk-A-Thon was held in Patriots Park on Oct. 23. Association members from 14 schools and the School Nutrition Program office participated in the annual wellness event. Member sponsorships and business contributions raised $1,000. The businesses involved are Horne's Pest Control, Norvell Fixture, Artware Inc., Greensmith Inc., Ron Carter State Farm Insurance and Weinberger's Furniture. The association will use the funds raised to finance its attendance at the Georgia School Food Service Association conference in April and to support various professional and community projects throughout the year.
