Hershey, this friendly and playful 11-month-old male basset hound-shepherd mix, was turned in to animal control by his owners who couldn't keep him because of family illness. Hershey is neutered, and crate-, leash- and house- trained. Hershey gets along well with people, including children and other animals and has up-to-date shots. He is available for adoption from Columbia County Animal Care and Control. For more information, call 541-4077 or visit www.columbiacountyga.gov and follow the links to Animal Care and Control. Adult animals cost $25 to adopt and the adoption fee for puppies, such as today's Pet of the Week, and kittens cost $20. All animals must be spayed or neutered.
