Former Greenbrier student Zach Atkinson, a sophomore midfielder at Oglethorpe College, was selected the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for matches played from Monday, Sept. 27, through Sunday, Oct. 3. Atkinson set the league's new single-game scoring mark when he poured in seven goals in an 18-2 defeat of Fisk (Tenn.) University. Atkinson's seven goals shattered the SCAC single-game record of four, which was held by several players.
