Insect presentation

Family festival

Sierra Club meets

Augusta State University economist Jurgen Brauer will deliver a presentation on "War and Nature: The Environmental Consequences of War," at the November meeting of the Sierra Club, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 3501 Walton Way Extension. For information, call 650-8314.

Soldier donations

Grovetown City Council-woman Marjorie Adams is seeking donations of items for soldiers serving in the Middle East. Especially needed are blankets, brown T-shirts, cotton underwear and boot-length socks, toiletries, magazines and other items. Donations may be dropped off during office hours at Grovetown City Hall. BMX open house
